Mohandas Ghandi once said: "Be the change you wish to see in the world."
I've tried it--it's hard, but I keep trying.
Change is hard. We already know this, and some of you will find out in a few months, change happens fast and comes at you when you least expect it. But, for as scary as it can be, it also provides opportunities and opportunities are good.
So, let's think BIG PICTURE for a moment and step outside your daily life here in sunny ML or Mullica or AC or wherever you live.
Out of these three world-wide epidemics, problems or concerns, which one would you change and WHY.
1. WAR
2. RACISM
3. POVERTY
How would you change the once you choose?
Think carefully--this blog counts as a test grade.

If i could change anything in this world I would start with racism, because racism is where everything starts from friendship to hatred. Sadly it all begins in one's household. Parents make comments towards certain races , and children tend to pick up from what they see or hear their parents do. then soon they will do the same and one day they will teach their children what they were taught when they were children. Its a never ending chain line that makes this world what it has come to be today. We've improved a little after Martin Luther Kings famous "I Have A Dream" speech in 1963. At least we have friends of diffrent races and interact with different races, but what we don't understand is that no matter where we are from we will still be human and we are all God's children. If we livfed in a philanthropist world then maybe we wouldn't have all these problems. Such as war and poverty. instead we would care for one another.
ReplyDeletePoverty is a problem I would try to change because it seems the most important this day in age. We live in a capitalist country with free market. there's no government safety net to catch you if you fall. it's every man for himself. The welfare checks have to stop, because that's a big deal that flushes tax money down the drain. People need to find options and alternatives to just being poor. i know a lot of people grow up with nothing, but you can be successful and I 've seen it. I know people who had nothing as a kid and made something of their life. i thinkl people are just lazy and don't want to work. I would try to bring back all of our jobs from overseas and give americans an oppurtinity to live a descent life. Many countries are poverty stricken from lack of knowledge and education. well we have just that and we can all live comfortably if we would make wise decisions in our daily lives. i hate seeing homeless, poor people everywhere when it shouldn't be like that. If our government stopped wasting our money on nonsense, i bet a lot less people would be poor from more jobs and chances to get somewhere in life. I think war and racism results from wealth differences and money really is the green devil.
ReplyDeleteyes, hands down poverty would be the first thing on my list of changes if i had the power too. we pay so much money for the stupidest stuff (if thats even a word). its really pissin me off, i mean seriously.. the gas prices these days, its rediculas! $3.29 is a bit too much. why cant the people in wherever dicover more gold? or why cant the money machine just start printing extra bills? and why cant things in life be free? why do we alwasy have to work for something that doesnt even compare to the life you really wanna live? its mind boggling isnt it!? i honestly do feel bad for the broke bums who live under street ways and boardwalks. i mean, why cant the whole population just come together and help somebody?! CAUSE LIFE DONT WORK THAT WAY! work work work thats all it ever is now. trying to make a buck; it mess's with your whole outlook on the future. and it really shows you what to expect
ReplyDeleteI would pick poverty just the fact that SOME people have aready forgotten about the war and i dont find racism to much of an issue now a days. i do worry about stablility & money, just because in a few months im going to have a family of my own and obviously it will be hard without being economically stable. everything is way to expensive now a days, i find that what a person in the casinos works for its not enough to hold themselves down on their own (i know because of my mom), its crazy. besides i know that there are people in worst situations that me & others & thats the sad part. i just hope things could change. its like my father says . . . sometimes doing the "right" thing never gets you anywhere. not saying that im going do the wrong thing but it does make sense. but hey life is life, i just make it the best i can for now.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really hard question for me. All threw things are really terrible but if had to choose which one to get rid of completely it would probably have to be WAR. We are at war because of racism and poverty kind of but I think war is such a terrible things. People risk their lives and die every day defending our country. I don’t think it’s fair for little kids to have to deal with their mom or dad being in a war and risk never seeing them again. Some people fighting in the war get addicted to it. In the movie hurt locker it shows a guy who worked as a bomb disposal or whatever and he had a wife and a son. He came home from Iraq and it shows him with his baby and his wife. Then the next sceen it shows him going back to Iraq to risk his life and go back to deploying bombs because he got addicted to it. I know it’s a movie but I’m sure that stuff happens in real life were someone with a family gets addicted to war and they keep going back after they served their country. Another thing I think is really bad about the war is how much money the United States spends from the war. I think that the United States being at war is also a lot of money. A lot of money we are losing Since 2001 the United States has spent over 1 trillion dollars. 780 billion from Iraq and 388 billion from Afghanistan. I think that’s way too much money to spend in 10 years. On a side note I really do honor and respect of all out troops overseas and fighting for our country because without them Americans wouldn’t feel as safe
ReplyDeleteUmmm this is a hard topic. I would have to choose POVERTY thow. People die every day of hunger. There is plenty of food in the world for everyone. So why isnt everyone getting food? People become weaker and sick because of hunger. This makes them less able to work which then makes them even poorer and hungrier. Other then being hungry alot of people are dieing from AIDS. This is one of the major problems of proverty because alot of people are dieing from it. People arent using protection (SMDH)
ReplyDeleteAll of the options are all good ones and hard to pick just one, but I find myself looking at war the most. War his a hard time for people and the world no matter where you life and that war is based off of racism and even poverty most of the time. War is never a good thing but looking to today war is a way of life and how we resaved our freedom is over war and religious belief. In the Roman time there was war over women and how one would go to a different king and thousands of men would die every day just for one person. We loss many love ones in war and it takes away from the great moments you could have had with them. It kills countries and makes country’s stronger than they should be. It can kill thousands of people because they belief in something different then you. War is a waste of time but then again it gave me my freedom and my way of life because it’s what people stood up for and I thank those people for that. War will never end and it will go on to my grand kids and their grad kids. It will never end and people will still lose there life’s over other peoples beliefs.
ReplyDeleteIf I could change anything In this world I think it would be poverty. One thing I hate seeing, are less fortunate individuals suffer. I don’t think no one deserves to live their live like that. Everyone deserves a better living. I am not saying everyone has to be rich either.
ReplyDeleteWhen people are poor sometimes they feel like they have nothing to live for. So they tend to do any and everything they can do to survive. Not all of the things they decided to do are right, but who am I to judge someone who is trying to make a living? I just hope you feel the same.
Kids in other country’s will kill for the opportunities that we are presented everyday. One’s that kids like me take for granted and don’t take advantage of. Even food which we waste like its nothing. Families in other countries are dieing of starvation. They are barely eating over there. I feel as though its should be no reason why these countries are poor like this.
Kids are born into poverty over there. No one should have to live a like this. So if I had a choose to change one of the three choices which were, WAR, POVERTY, OR RACISM? I would have to go with POVERTY.
Wow.. That's a really hard question, but if I had to choose it would be poverty. That is one thing that so many people struggle with. Some people say well they did it to themselves by not going and getting a job or an education but that's not always true because you honestly do not know what they are going through or what they have went through in life. One thing that really bothers me is seeing someone on the side of the road with no where to go. It seems like it's just not fair, why them? Then when they have kids and the kids have to go through life with nothing. Just because people do not have money doesn't mean they are lazy or dumb some homeless people are smarter then most rich people. Like people in America do not understand how great we have it here, we waste food and throw it away when some little kid in another country is starving and would do anything for a piece of bread. I think if we ended poverty and racism there would be NO WAR. Why would people have to go to war if everyone had money and everyone got along but that will never happen. :P
ReplyDeleteSo if I could change anything in the world I would change poverty. The reason why I would change poverty is because it probably sucks. I don’t really know what it’s like because I’m not surrounded by anyone extremely poor. It would be nice if everyone had a fair chance to succeed like most Americans do. I couldn’t imagine what it must be like to go throughout my life starting with nothing. I often take it for granted to have two parents and a nice house to come home to everyday. Even though I work for all my own money and things, I still had a basis to start from that got me moving. I feel really bad for all the children that really don’t have a chance to move forward. People say that money can’t buy happiness, but that’s not entirely true. Everyone needs to have a little bit of wealth to have a much easier and happier life. But since this is not reality, I’m sitting here typing this blog because I want to change this. This isn’t something that’s going to change if enough donations are given, this is an issue that has so much more complex problems to do with countries and governments. But either way, this is what I would change.
ReplyDeleteIf I could change one of those 3 topics it would have to be poverty. Poverty to me causes the most problems out of the 3 because if you live in poverty your not going to be a happy little camper and just sit there and take it your gonna go to war and try and become a more powerful nation. Then that in itself can cause racism because people of different races are going to be treated differently and the race thst is liked the least will be the poorest of them all because they will not be treated as equals. So its like a bad cycle, poverty can cause a bigger group of problems then the other three. Also, obviously the other two are people choosing to either be a racist or to go to war, people that live in poverty most of the time dot chose to live thst wsy. If I could change it it wouldnt be easy. I would try and get a little UN meeting going on and have all the leaders from every country agree upon a national tax for the entire world to end poverty to a certain extent.if they do not agree then we will go to war thats why i didnt chose that one haha, and i would conquer all the countries who disagree and start a worldwide end poverty association. Its a little out there but you csnt knock it till you try it, its tough in the streets and if you dont kno, you just dont kno!
ReplyDeleteI would change racism, no doubt, because I feel that ultimately that will stop war. If everyone could just love one another and get along, things wouldn't be the way they are right now. If interracial couples could walk down the street happily with each other then the world would be a better place. I think that racism comes from long lines of traditions in families to not date out of your race and to shun those who choose to date out of their race or befriend those out of their race. I myself must say that I am always put in a predicament where I must choose my dad or a guy I like and my dad always wins because I am so close with him. There were many occasions during basketball season where a guy on the other team would catch my eye, or even one on our team would, but sadly it all comes down to family or possible boyfriend. I am the least racist person out there, I love everyone and view everyone on the same level, and many people know that, but my dad is not the same. If I could change racism, and how many older generations view things, I feel the world would be a better place. Fewer families would be torn apart by decisions that younger generations would make, and less wars would be started based on hatred. Many of the people in the extremist groups in Iraq and Pakistan are very racist against those who don’t follow their religion, and even those who aren’t in their religious group from birth. If everyone’s mindset was on the same level as mine when it comes to judging people, I think the world would definitely be a better place. There’d also be fewer cases of bullying in school leading to fewer Columbine-type situations. Many kids are bullied because they believe something different than the kid sitting next to them. I was a witness to a kid being bullied in my Spanish Class by another student. The bullied student was of another race, he had a darker skin tone, and a noticeably special name. A popular white male bullied him, and called him dot head, though he never said if he was Indian or not; his bullying tactics were based the students’ skin color and unique name alone. Luckily the student went to the office and reported the white male, and sadly it’s gone to a point where there is a restraining order on the white male; these things should not happen. If the poor student was not bullied for the color of his skin every day, Spanish would be a more enjoyable class. I feel that as a whole, the world needs to rise above their cave-man attitudes and accept everyone for whom they are, racism and war would be abolished.
ReplyDeleteIf I could change anything in this world I would change racism, only because racism is the reason for most of the things that are happening in this world. Its starts from one family to the next and keep going, some families don’t care how it would make others feel. I would try and do something like Martin Luther King did to try and change the way others feel. Racism is a hard thing to change but everyone likes a challenge. Its hard because regardless of what you say or do they will have there own state of mind at the end of the day. Martin Luther King did more then enough and it still kept this world with a handful of people that are racist. Changing racism is a great thing to try and change but just know everyone has there own opinion in this world and not everyone is going to listen.
ReplyDeleteIf I could change one epidemic in the world it would have to be poverty I think this is more important and necessary. Poverty affects most of America and is a big problem it would make a big difference if there was no poverty in the world. Of course racism and war are not good but racism is a lot lower now a day’s than it was in the past although still existent I think the problem with poverty is much more serious. As for war I feel war is necessary if there was no war in the world I think that the world wouldn’t function also that’s a main reason why America is so powerful because of our military and army before America made its stand against Britain America was overlooked and not taken seriously as a main power we needed war in order for our country to take and maintain all they power that we obtain today. But poverty is not needed no one should have to deal with debt, lack of money, and not knowing where they’re going to live next week because they can’t afford the house payments or rent. Also kids having to go without meals because you don’t have enough money for everyone to eat in your family. There is nothing worse than poverty this is something that I would change if I had the opportunity I could live with racism and I could live with war but poverty is just a destructive force that ruins lives and is a major problem in the world today. Especially now because America is in a recession so the rate of poverty is increasing dramatically in America there are families that are being kicked out of their homes and put out on the street with no place to go. I find this to be a huge problem that needs to be solved and if I had the chance to make that change I would. Poverty is also a main reason why crimes are committed if poverty was taken away there would be less crimes be committed because people wouldn’t have to sell drugs in order to have money for food and a place to live. Also there wouldn’t be as many murders because most murders are caused in some way shape or form by money and if there was no poverty in the world this would not happen as often and the world would be a safer and better place to live in.
ReplyDeleteIf i had a chance to change out the three i would change racism. I just wish it never was here. The ways some white look at me makes mr what to smack them. I mean it is way better than it was back in the day but still. I just wish we all was born equal and treated equal. There has been a few people that was trying to change that. Dr. King is a prime example. I admire him truely. Racism is like a never ending chain that makes the world what it is today. One thing i hate is to see a person gets denied of a job or whatever because of how they look like. I just wish we all could get alone like the King tried to do.
ReplyDeleteBy:Chelsea Tuthill
ReplyDeleteThe thing i would like to change is probably War. A lot of the time we enter war for power, land, jeolousy, or because we think we are helping that country. Without war their would be no need for men and women to put their lifes on the line or get killed and cause families pain. I have a cousin whos in the war right now and i can tell that my aunt is scared that one day one of the deaths they report will be her son. Also everytime we have a war the planet also gets damaged to with all the bombs. So that is why i would like to elimanate War there would be less deaths, the planet would not get deformed and hopfuly the countries would be peaceful.
If I had the power to extremely hard to get motivated if you’re at home or at school doing your work change an epidemic in the world out the three categories you have given us. I would change the poverty one because. I believe no have to go to sleep hungry or be at home hungry its tough to do anything if you’re hungry. It like driving your car while it’s underneath the E on trying to go somewhere it and you won’t get very far. Another thing too many people die of hunger to me it very sad to hear someone die starvation it s just not right. So what I am saying is I believe that in my opinion that if you have no money and yeah I understand that people who are poor could always go to a soup kitchen but everyone get food but even of they did how many of them are saying that they are full not many it’s a snow ball effect if you have no money you have house mostly and u have no job or a car which makes you look worst then things like racism because poverty is not like you choose to be in poverty you just could not keep a job or a house also people who are racist they choose to be people who are poor they have no choice they are just in a bad situation which they cannot control anymore its like white water rafting if you don’t push yourself to a safe spot to get out of the boat before exhaustion kicks in. either you do what you have to and successed or you are in a bad situation and you can not do anything about it poverty just over takes you like rapids over take you. Poverty is like a flash flood it hits you out of nowhere. I believe that poverty has too many other factors in it then just having any money it’s a growing lifestyle for some people because there is no real warning that you will if it happens and when your poor your heath Is usually very poor and you can not go to the doctors because you probably cant afford health insurance or may have to go to a free clinic and may not get all the help you need there
ReplyDeleteIf I could change one of the three epidemics it would be poverty. A world without poverty would be a much better world. Many people throughout the world and country are poor, being poor can lead to many other bad things. Many poor people steal, rob, and commit crimes to get ahead in life, when in reality they are hurting themselves and many others around them. Also if there are no poor people it could even stop racism. Many people judge people on how many materialistic things they have and how much money they have, but if there wasn’t any poverty people would be less likely to judge someone else. Many countries around the world are very poor and we are lucky we are not like that even though there are many people here living in poverty. Seeing commercials of kids with nothing is very sad no one should have to live that way, we need to help those kids because it is unfair to them because they will live that way for the rest of their life and there is really nothing they can do to change it. Many of those people can’t even afford food to eat and they could use all the help they can get. It’s really heartbreaking knowing that not much will come out of their life and they are missing out on the many opportunities life could bring them. If poverty stricken people started out in a better place or with more money they will be able to make more out of their lives and this will make the whole world a better place because there are more people doing better things out there. I would think by helping people in poverty we could make the world a much better place and we would be able to stop many of the problems that the whole world faces today.
ReplyDeleteI would love to change all three of them but if I had to pick one it would be racism. I think that because people are racist to one another there is war and poverty. Now a days, as a hispanic, it saddens and angers me to see how hispanics are treated and looked upon. Its ridiculous that kids grow up with foul thoughts of other races because of theyre own parents being ignorant. If we had no hate for other races or ethnicities we would all be peaceful. That means there would be no war because there would be no reason for war. And since we'd all be getting along we would be quite equal and help one another and not see anyone any less so therefore poverty would be gone or at least not to the extent that we see today.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say I'd end racism.
ReplyDeleteI pick racism mainly because I believe if racism was eliminated it would probably lower the amount of people in proverty, and possibly eliminate some wars. Eliminating racism would make job oppritunitys completely equal. It would possibly lower the crime rate due to decreasing poverty. I believe alot of people are arrested because of color not because the person actually commited the crime their accused of. I believe in most cases a person was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I believe most crimes are commited by people in poverty. With racism in the job market and in life it challanges people to overcome adversidy that isn't necessary in life.
Out of these three i would have to choose to end poverty. I choose this because it would seem all of the worlds problems stem from poverty. Racism seems to be a mechanism that people like to make up reasons for hating someone who hasn't wronged you in anyway. This could be a common thing if someone of a different race had more money than you just how Hitler did all that stuff to the Jews and everyone else. They just wanted someone to blame for their own misfortune so it was so easy just to put all of their misplaced aggression into something so stupid simply because the delusion somehow went along with their twisted reality. Poverty controls war because if it wasn't for such commodities and resources what would we have to really war over? Right now its about ideologies but if it wasn't for the other side being poor and uneducated we wouldn't be in this mess. If there was no poverty we would probably have alot less terror in the streets seeing as everyone who becomes poor or even close kicks in to survival mode and that is a stronger urge then the urge to think and act correctly. Without poverty we could combine our efforts to gain knowledge because there would simply be no other logical ideas to spend our time and efforts on. Why would we need weapons if war was marked obsolete and fighting considered primitive then what reasons could we have to hate? Without hate there would be no reasons to harm other humans and without the urge to cause harm we would simply exist and there fore we might be able to make many breakthroughs in technology and science for that matter. Poverty causes so much harm to the world sometimes as Americans we fail to see the struggle that they go through everyday. We are taught to throw sticks and laugh at someone who has to sleep on the street. I don’t know why people do that they just automatically think they can do that. Mainly its only teenagers who do it but you know how crazy we can be. Its funny how in the book kids are demonized, I guess we just have to act that way at some point in our lives. Maybe without poverty we could end all of that stupid behavior but thats just an opinion for all I know it could be impossible but yeah that would be the day.
ReplyDeleteIf i could make a change then i would change poverty. I feel like racism and war are two things that i can't change because for them to change then people have to change. People themselves have to make that difference in there thoughts and actions. Poverty for me is a bigger factor because i think that in a country full of opportunites there shouldn't be a person that isn't given the opportunity to netter there life. Food and a shelter are two things that i feel people should have and shouldn't have to beg for. When i go out i feel so bad to see people in the streets and beg for food because thats one thing that i believe they should have. Poverty is one thing i believe people shouldn't suffer from and everyone is entitled to food and a shelter. Day by day i see people out in the streets and it's a shame that they are in the streets. Iknow that when i see them i wonder of how i can help them and poverty is one thing that if i can change tomorrow i would but i know that day by day i can try.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose only one thing to change, I would get rid of racism. It tears family and friends apart all because people are not the same race. Unfortunately, it usually starts at home, parents pass on the hatred of other races and most of the time they learned it from their parents. For example, my sister is happily in love with a very nice person but he is Guatemalan. My parents are racist and would never approve of their relationship, if they found out all hell would break loose. I grew up hearing my parents complain about Black and Spanish people and since I live in Port Republic, an all white city, mostly everyone thought the same. I think it is sad to see people put others down because they feel that their race is better someone. Millions of people who have a great heart and a great mind are put down because of stereotypes about their race. Imagine a world where that never happened, everyone is human and although are different we all are humans and all look up at the same sky and breath the same air. People would respect each other more often, why hate when we all are the same species. The world would be happier and people would help each other out because we will see each other as our own family. If we see each other as equal beings then we will have no reason to hate each other and if someone is poor, we would hopefully be more giving. In addition, if your actions are not driven by hatred but instead logic you will make better decisions. So with war, only logic and facts will be involved and not racism to make the situation worse. Without racism, people can be proud that they are in an interracial relationship; parents will not disown their children for liking another race, and friends wont part ways because of one friend is a racist. I just feel that the world would be a happier and a little safer. No threats against another race or silly assumptions and stereotypes, we would get to know someone without a preconceived notion of how they are going to act.
ReplyDeleteTo be homest this is a really hard question to answer. If i could change the world i would try to change all three problems. But if i really have to chiose it would be racism. I would choose racism because as alot of people know i am gay and my family is really agaist it like you would not belive but you cant help who you like or who you fall in love with. I found the love of my life about four years ago ya we have had our ups and downs but we always get throw it. But enought about me.... There are many people that are racist and its not right. Leave people alone its there life let them live it to the fullest you only live life once and you can always learn from your mistakes. Thats why it is called life you live and learn form things you done mad or wrong in the past. but you have to learn from your own mistakes and eveyone has to let you live with your mistakes and then you grow from them... Racism is the biggest problems in life today peoiple think because your a diffrent race that they can get away with thing. But they cant everyone is created equal and thats how it should be none should be down graded or made fun of it because or there heratiage. without racism i think we could have a better world and a better life if everyone could just get along....
ReplyDeleteThis is a really tough decision to choose because each one of these is important to the world. But the only one I believe is most important and I would change would be war. The only way that I would make this change is make it so that it never even existed in the world. This would be the biggest change in this world. Reason why it will be the biggest change is because there wouldn’t be so much violence in this world. If it wasn’t for war, so many people on this earth would be a million times happier. There wouldn’t be so many love ones lost because of war. Another reason why I would want to change this is because the money. The U.S has lost so much money because of all these wars. It’s unbelievable how much money we have spent during these wars. Only thing I’m saying is that this world would be a much better place only if war has never existed.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a very hard decision to make because these three, “world-wide epidemics,” is something I think about every day. Not just me, the whole world as well. Poverty, I believe is the most important than the rest. Poverty is dealt with through out this whole entire world. Kids out there today are suffering from all kinds of infections and starvation. It is a arduous time for people living in poverty. This should be something that every person must see and feel a great deal of sympathy for. It’s just a horrible feeling knowing that people out there are having trouble finding food, or worry about if they are even going to be able to sleep that night with a roof above their heads. If people would even give them the time of day, do they not know that they can make a big difference by even doing the littlest things? If it were us, would we want people to treat us they way some people treat the poor today? No one really sees/knows the things they can do to make a difference or even change the life of many. We all at one point take advantage of things whether its money or something else, but rather waste it on something that isn’t really necessary why not use it for something more useful and important. Our life to the poor is how we view the rich, to us we see money, and to the poor, they see happiness and “perfect life”. Those of us who haven’t been through poverty wouldn’t understand. Take a day in their shoes; do you think you can survive? You can only imagine, knowing that that is the life they have to live with everyday. Poverty in our time gets even worse and worse with each day that passes by. People who9 don’t take things for granted and live in those kinds of environment are the ones that deserve the right to be happy in this world. No one should suffer what they are suffering today. This is something that people should think about and appreciate the things that they have more. This is why I chose this as the change that I would wish to see in the world; just so that every person that is going through those struggles and even more, could be happy or have the chance to be happy.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much in the world that needs to be changed but since these are the three listings, I think I would like to change war out of anything. War is a big problem in the world. It has been going on for hundreds and thousands of years. Not saying that racism isn’t a big issue and yes it starts war, but if we could stop war all together, earth would be an amazing thing. Everybody in every country would become better friends and things would be so much cheaper and easier. We could help places that don’t have much and that are very poor, we could help out like Greg Mortenson did for Pakistan. He changed so many lives for the things he did for them. If we all could be a Greg and not worry about ourselves for once and help the people that really need it. There are people already out there dying dramatically, war is just killing more than the amount that are dying from not eating or being sick. It’s really hard to decide what I would like to change because each thing causes a problem in life. Racism causes war, war causes poverty, you really can’t change anything because eventually it will just come right back and will start up again. If you change one thing, then you need to change everything. War is something that I wish I could stop but war is everywhere. War is when you and some kid in school want to fight and you and your boys meet up with him and his boys. Right then and there it becomes a war. I wish I could stop everything from causing everyone to hate America and to change the expense in gas prices. War is my number one thing to change but to me you can’t change just one thing because the other thing you didn’t change starts another war up. If we all think that war and racism and poverty is a big issue, then we need to act now and stop sitting here waiting for the enemy to give up because sooner or later they are not going to give up and we will be in a whole lot of trouble.

ReplyDeleteOut of the three I would have to change poverty, because that’s primly the one thing that’s never going to need no matter what. And it’s getting worse and worse every day, jobs are getting lost so their fore people can’t pay their rent and their house get taken and there are just live on the street. It’s really bad when there are liven on the street when they have little kids with them. Like I truly feel bad for people that don’t have a warm bed to sleep in or a hot meal to come home to or just a place where they can call home. Than these days the kids are mean and when somebody in their class does not have a place to live, some of them would make fun of them. That’s not right at all. I was a bad little kid but I never made fun of poor people, just because I couldn’t even imagine me being in a predicament like that. I would lose it. An even though I don’t often show it but I’m great full that I have a warm bed to sleep in and just a place to call home. And the way I would try to change it all. I would build many building filled with like 1000 rooms so people that don’t have nothing can go somewhere and sleep. I won’t just build one I would build many of them all around the world so there would be nobody on the street. And I would make so everybody could come in for as long as they needed to stay to get back on their feet. So out of the three I would change poverty.
ReplyDeleteWell no poverty eliminates racism and no racism eliminates war. So i would get rid of poverty , because gettin rid of poverty means everyone in the world gets an equal oppurtunity at money and if thats possible makes everyone equal financially and money is the root of all evil. for example if me ( a black student ) tried to make a good impression to my girlfriends parents ( my girlfriend being white) it would be very hard because they expect the best for their daughter and me being black , unless i play a sport or become a rapper i will never be good enough , that creates a racist atmosphere. so if poverty where to be eliminated money wouldnt no longer play a factor in my relationship with her parents.now gettin rid of poverty gets rid of war because if every county has an equal ecomony their would be no conflict over who controls what . if you think about why we are in this war its money. Money makes the world spin , without money their wouldnt be order. Money can solve any war and thats why i choose to get rid of poverty.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing that I might change would be racism in the world. Because it is everywhere you turn or look or go at home at school in the stores. I think it would be good that racism is no more because I think that this world for one would be a lot better. There wouldn’t be as many disputes as there is today. Racism is probably more than likely the fuel to the fire to problems in the world so I would change it so that those problems would disappear. Another reason why I would change it is because I’m always tired of everywhere I go always hearing racist remarks towards people. I just think that it is very wrong and to me I don’t understand why people have to be that way. I always ask myself why can’t people of different races just get along I think people just need to grow up and stop acting like little babies talking about other people just because they are a different color or ethnicity.
